About Me
I am a pediatric gastroenterologist at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, specializing in gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition. I care for children and teens who face a range of digestive and nutritional challenges, including abdominal pain, vomiting, feeding difficulties, gastritis/ ulcers, reflux/GERD, colic/ fussy babies, constipation, diarrhea, blood in the stool, inadequate weight gain, Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Celiac Disease, Eosinophilic Esophagitis and transaminitis.
Becoming a doctor was a natural choice for me, driven by a deep desire to help others. I was particularly drawn to gastroenterology because of the complex and fascinating pathology. While I have expertise in performing procedures, I approach them sensitively, knowing that their necessity often means a child is unwell. My goal is to make these experiences as positive and reassuring as possible for both the child and their family.
What I love most about my job is the ability to make a real difference in the lives of my patients and their families. There is no greater reward than resolving a health concern and seeing the relief and happiness it brings, especially to mothers and their babies. Taking away a child’s pain and distress and helping them achieve remission or manage their condition is profoundly fulfilling. The opportunity to interact with children of all ages and connect with their unique personalities is a true joy every day.
I am deeply attentive to both my patients and their parents. I empathize with their challenges and work tirelessly to address their concerns. My approach to diagnosis and treatment is practical, thoughtful and grounded in the latest evidence-based medicine, ensuring that every decision I make is in the child's best interest.
Before joining Memorial, I co-owned a pediatric gastroenterology practice in West Palm Beach for 16 years, where I was honored to be recognized as one of America’s top pediatricians by the Consumers’ Research Council of America. I remain committed to serving families in the South Florida community, delivering care they can count on.
